India reports 6,395 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India recorded 6,395 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 50,342 as per the Health Ministry data on Thursday.

As many as 19 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 528090.

A total of 6,614 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,39,00,204 as the national recovery rate stood at 98.7%.

According to the bulletin, 88.83 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,25,602 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 214.27 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.43 crore second dose and 17.49 crore precaution dose), so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the Ministry data said.
