India records 91,702 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 91,702 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, marking the fourth straight day when the daily count remained below 1 lakh, as per Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

In the past 24 hours, 3403 people lost their lives due to the virus.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 363079.

 During the same period, 1,34,580 people have been discharged from the hospital.

India is witnessing the second wave of the pandemic for the past several months.

Indians struggled to get hospital beds, oxygen supply during this phase of the virus pandemic.

The increase in deaths also left burial grounds and crematoriums overwhelmed.
