India records 4329 new COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 4329 COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, registering another massive spike in casualty figures due to the deadly virus, as per Ministry of Health released data on Tuesday.

The total death toll due to the disease now stands at 278719.

However, the country also recorded fresh 2,63,533 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, a record dip in the daily count of new cases.

So far, 2,15,96,512 people have been discharged.

There are 33,53,765 active cases in the country at present.
