India records 3,47,254 new COVID-19 cases, 703 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India witnessed yet another day of spike as 3,47,254 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

During the same period, 703 people died due to the deadly virus across the nation.

The total number of detected Omicron cases in the country now stands at 9,692.

India's active caseload currently stands at 20,18,825.

Active cases stand at 5.23 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 93.50 percent.

In the past 24 hours, 2,51,777 recoveries from COVID-19 were recorded.

Daily positivity rate now stands at 17.94 percent.
