India records 18,346 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, lowest daily count in 209 days

New Delhi: India, the nation which witnessed a deadly second wave of the COVID-19, registered 18,346 new cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest daily count in 209 days, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

During the past 24 hours, 263 people died due to the virus.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases at present.

Currently standing at 0.75 percent, it is the lowest figure since March 2020.

India's active caseload now stands at 2,52,902.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.93 percent.

29,639 people recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
