India continues to witness surge in daily count, 8,329 fresh cases recorded

New Delhi: India is continuing to witness a daily surge as 8,329 fresh COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

This is the highest daily surge recorded in the past three months.

During the same period, 10 people died due to the viral infection.

India's active caseload currently stands at 40,370.

Active cases stand at 0.09 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.69 percent.

4,216 people recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
