India adds 45,352 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, a nation which witnessed a deadly second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, recorded 45,352 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Saturday.

During the past 24 hours, 330 people died due to the virus.

As many as 440225 people have died due to the virus in the nation so far.

Active cases account for 1.22 percent of total cases.

India's Active caseload stands at 3,99,778.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.45 percent.

34,791 recoveries registered in the last 24 hours.

During the second wave of the pandemic, India witnessed a massive rise in cases, leaving people gasping for hospital beds and oxygen supply.

The spike in death cases also stretched crematoriums and burial grounds to its extent.
