Covid19 Scare: Liquor shops, beer bars, restaurants, paan kiosks closed till March 31 in Nagpur

Nagpur/UNI: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak and to prevent the spread of the virus, all beer bars, liquor shops, restaurants and even ‘paan’ stalls in the city would remain closed till March 31, a press release issued by district collector Ravindra Thakre said here on Wednesday.

According to the release, the order would come into effect from 1700 hours on Wednesday.

"All beer shops, wine shops, permit rooms, bars and restaurants, clubs, country liquor shops, all restaurants and even ‘paan’ kiosks will remain closed from March 18 to March 31 under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005," the order stated.

So far four positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported here. The first patient is undergoing treatment at IGGMC and three patients are being treated in GMC.
