COVID-19: West Bengal reports 454 fresh cases, 336 patients discharged in last 24 hours

Kolkata/IBNS: With 454 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in West Bengal has climbed to 10,698, including 5,693 active cases, 463 deaths and 4,542 discharges, reports said on Saturday.

According to state health department's bulletin, 336 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the state's recovery rate to 42.45 per cent.

West Bengal health and family welfare department also informed that 12 more Covid-19 deaths were reported in the state in last 24 hours.

West Bengal has tested 3,24,707 samples till date, with 9,008 tests were conducted in 45 testing facilities across the state in the last 24 hours, according to reports.

Currently, 14,941 persons are kept in government quarantine centres and 1,57,632 people are under home surveillance in the state.
