Covid-19 positive cases move up to touch six in Odisha

Bhubaneswar/UNI: The sixth COVID-19 positive case in Odisha was detected in Cuttack city, with recent travel history to Delhi, State Health and Family Welfare department sources here said today.

The department has not made it clear whether he has any link with the religious congregation at Nizamuddin in Delhi.

A 60-year-old person in the state capital with multiple morbid conditions was tested positive yesterday.

Out of the six positive cases reported in the state so far, four were from Bhubaneswar and one each from Bhadrak and Cuttack.

The Health department sources said the second COVID-19 positive patient undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar here has completely recovered and is being discharged.

The condition of the first COVID-19 patient undergoing treatment at the Capital hospital here has also fully recovered.

Following the detection of the sixth positive case, the government also shut down the Cuttack city after Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak for 48 hours beginning from 2000hrs tonight till 2000hrs on Sunday in a bid to check the spread of the coronavirus.
