Bangladesh registers 18 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh registered 18 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

The total number of deaths due to the highly infectious disease in the country now stands at 5,923.

The South Asian country also recorded 1,320 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

The latest cases  took the tally of infections so far to 407,684.

The number of recoveries outpaced active cases in the same period as another 1,442 patients recovered from the disease at home and in hospital care. It brings the total to 324,145, reports bdnews24.
