Bangladesh records 1608 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh has recorded 1608 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

The fresh count took the tally to 783,737.

The death toll from COVID-19 rose by 37 in a 24-hour count to 12,248, according to the latest government data released on Wednesday as quoted by bdnews24.

Another 1,923 people recovered from the illness through treatment at home and in hospital care, bringing the tally of recoveries to 726,132, reports the news portal.
