26-year-old Mizo woman tests positive for COVID-19 in Mumbai

Guwahati/IBNS: A 26-year-old woman from Mizoram tested positive for COVID-19 in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Mizoram Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo said the woman hailing from Mizoram was tested positive for COVID-19 at a hospital in Mumbai.

The Mizoram Chief Secretary also said she is being treated at a hospital in Mumbai.

According to reports, the woman was in the capital city of Maharashtra since February.

On March 25, a 50-year-old man from Mizoram’s capital city Aizawl was tested positive for the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) at Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

A total of 39 positive cases for COVID-19 have been reported in the North Eastern region so far and one patient from Assam died and the first patient from Manipur was discharged from the hospital and she recovered from the dreaded virus.
