Volkswagen India expands its performance line with the introduction of Virtus GT DSG at INR 16.19 lakh

Mumbai: Volkswagen Passenger Cars India announces the expansion of its coveted Performance Line on the Virtus with a new variant introduction – Virtus GT DSG. Priced at INR 16,19,900 (ex-showroom), the Virtus GT DSG variant makes the sought-after GT badge further accessible for prospective customers.

The Volkswagen Virtus has received a phenomenal response from customers and top media houses awarding the carline with over 12 awards titling it the ‘Best sedan of 2022- 23’.

Built on the globally acclaimed MQB A0 IN platform, the Virtus has reignited the premium midsize sedan segment with its striking design, exhilarating performance and German-engineering prowess. The Virtus today offers 8 variants under the Dynamic (1.0l TSI engine) and Performance Line (1.5l EVO TSI engine) for customers to choose from.

Powered by a 1.5l EVO TSI engine with Active Cylinder cut-off Technology (ACT) that comes with 7-speed DSG transmission, the Virtus GT DSG delivers a peak power of 150PS (110 kW) from 5000 to 6000 rpm range and peak torque of 250Nm at 1600 to 3500 rpm, offering a fuel efficiency of 19.62 km/L (ARAI certified).
