Kolkata, Nov 19 (IBNS): The Shipping Committee of Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a full day seminar on “Maritime Infrastructure Developments in east and north-east India”, recently, at the Bengal Chamber premises.

The conclave was organised to discuss the present status of the maritime infrastructure in east and north-east India, and project a growth plan for its economic development.

The participants also deliberated on how to increase domestic and international trade in the eastern and north-eastern region of India.

Suvendu Adhikari, Transport  Minister of West Bengal was the chief guest.

“Government of India is making huge investments in the land-side infrastructure and inland waterways, which are expected to provide excellent connectivity in the near future, in the east and north east India.
