Sensex elevates to a record high of 61,305.95 pts at Closing Bell

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex Thursday closed at a record high of 61,305.95, advancing 568.90 pts following strong performances by Infosys and Wipro in Q2.

The momentum was also fuelled by hopes of a better-than-anticipated economic recovery.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rallied by 176.80 pts at 18,338.55.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 61,353.25 and 60,978.04 pts, respectively, while the Nifty recorded days high and low at 18,350.75 and 18,248.70 pts respectively.
