Sensex drops by over 1900 points

New Delhi/Mumbai: The Indian stock market witnessed a massive slump on Friday as the Sensex dropped by over 1900 points.

The Nifty 50 index dropped by 3.6 per cent to hit an intraday low of 14,554.

At 3.45 pm, Sensex stood at 49099.99 points, down by 1939.32.

Nifty is down by 574.20 points to stand at 14523.15 points.
