Samsung unveils five new Galaxy A-series smartphones in India, targets to capture 40 pct market share in mid-premium segment

Kolkata: Tech giant Samsung on Tuesday added five new models-A13/A23/A33 5G/A53 5G/A73 5G- to its Galaxy A series portfolio in India.

Speaking to IBNS in Kolkata, Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, said: "At Samsung, we believe in openness with the Galaxy experience powering endless possibilities. The Galaxy A series epitomises that belief by making flagship-like features accessible at an affordable price point."

"The five new models we are launching are curated to inspire consumers with style, power and versatility. Galaxy A73 5G stands out with best in segment 108MP OIS camera, flagship features like Object Eraser &AI Photo Remaster, fluid smooth 120Hz super AMOLED+ display and a host of meaningful innovations like water & dust resistance to deliver an unmatched experience," he said.

Galaxy A73 5G comes with flagship-leve l108MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), enhanced durability with IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, powerful Snapdragon 778G 5G processor and Super AMOLED+ display at 120Hz refresh rate.

Three models- Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33- are all 5G enabled.

Pullan said with the new offerings, the company expects to touch 40 per cent market share by the end of H1 2022 in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 45,000 price segment.

"India continues to be the focus market for Samsung globally," he said.

Speaking on the 5G phones, he said: "We are strengthening the 5G line-up."

"Samsung wants its customers to be future ready," he said.

Price, Offers, and Availability of the new smartphone models:

Galaxy A73 5G will open for pre-book in the coming days on Samsung.com, retail stores, and select online portals.

The new Galaxy A53 5G, GalaxyA33 5G,Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A13will be available in four awesome colours – Peach, Blue, Blackand White.

Galaxy A53 5G is priced at INR 34499 for 6GB+128GB and INR 35999 for 8GB+128GB variant.

Galaxy A23 is priced at INR 19499 for 6GB+128GB and INR 20999 for 8GB+128GB variant.

Galaxy A13 is priced at INR 14999 for 4GB+64GB, INR 15999 for 4GB+128GB and INR 17499 for 6GB+64GB variant.
