Mumbai: Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Ltd, the leading Indian company in terms of revenues, profits, and market value, bagged the top position in the 2023 Wizikey News Source ranking as the most prominently featured corporate in the media, a media report said.

The State Bank of India (SBI) holds a distant second place in the ranking, followed by HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Bharti Airtel Ltd, as outlined in Wizikey's News Score Report.

Wizikey's News Score, an innovative industry metric, serves as the first integrated measure for evaluating news visibility. This score is derived from factors such as news volume, headline presence, the reach of publications, and readership.

Reliance has continued to top the Wizikey News Score annual rankings since its inception for each of the last four years. Most importantly, Reliance has improved its News Score year after year.

In 2023, Reliance secured the top position with a News Score of 96.46, reflecting an impressive improvement from its 2022 score of 92.56 and a significant advancement from the 2021 score of 84.9.

Monthly analysis revealed that Reliance's News Score exceeded 98 for 3 out of the last 6 months from June to November 2023.

For the same period, Reliance's cumulative reach amounted to 74 billion. In comparison, the State Bank of India (SBI) achieved a News Score of 85.81 with a cumulative reach of 46.9 billion. HDFC Bank had a News Score of 84.06 (42.4 billion cumulative reach), ICICI Bank scored 81.9 (42.2 billion), and Bharti Airtel achieved a News Score of 80.64 (40.3 billion cumulative reach), as per the report.

Wizikey's research indicates that Reliance outperforms other entities significantly in terms of PR efficiency. It achieved a score of 216.8k in the volume parameter, 31.5k under the headlines parameter, 14.3k under the publication parameter, and 74 billion on the readership criteria.

Each of these parameters represents a substantial 58-167 percent gap over the second-placed SBI.
