Indian Market: Sensex up 1197 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday spurted by 1197.11 pts to end strong at 49,797.72 as buying was witnessed across the board amid strong global cues.

The Nifty too gained by 366.65 pts to end at 14,647.85.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 50,154.48 and 49,193.26 pts, respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 14,731.70 and 14,469.15 pts, respectively.
