Indian market: Sensex soars by 1335 pts

Mumbai/UNI: Positive effect of Union Budget was seen on Tuesday too as BSE Sensex rallied further by 1335 points to 49,936.49 as buying was witnessed across the board amid strong global cues.

The Nifty too edged up by 382 points to 14,663.55.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,154.48 and 49,193.26 points respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,731.70 and 14,469.15 respectively.

In 30 scrips 28 advanced while 2 declined.

Mid cap rose by 1.90 per cent and Small Cap by 1.57 per cent.

The gainers were L& T by 7.29 per cent to Rs 1555.15, HDFC Bank by 6.10 per cent to Rs 1567.30, HDFC by 5.32 per cent to Rs 2719.85, Ultracemco by 4.98 per cent to Rs 6027.85 and M& M by 4.70 per cent to Rs 832.70.

The losers were Reliance Industries by 0.30 per cent to Rs 1889.75 and Hind Unilever by 0.37 per cent to Rs 2240.85.
