Indian Market: Sensex improves 33.21 pts

The BSE Sensex on Wednesday ended positive at 64,975.61, rising 33.21 pts following gains in Asian Paints, Titan and JSW Steel.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) advanced by 36.80 pts at 19443.50.

The Sensex opened higher at 65,101, up 159 pts. It was surged 182 pts at 65,124, days high, before closing at 64,975.61, up 33.31 pts from its previous close.
The scrips that lifted the market were Asian Paints, Titan and JSW Steel.

Asian Paints was up by 1.95 pc to Rs 3092.70, Titan by 1.33 pc to Rs 3314 and JSW Steel by 1.28 pc to Rs 757.25.

In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.

The gainers were Asian Paints by 1.95 pc to Rs 3092.70, Titan by 1.33 pc to Rs 3314 and JSW Steel by 1.28 pc to Rs 757.25.

The losers were ICICI Bank by 1.34 pc to Rs 985.60, NTPC by 1.17 pc to Rs 236 and Infosys by 0.89 pc to Rs 1391.88.
