Indian Market: Sensex drops by 66 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday opened weak at 58,049.02, down by 66 points as selling was seen in Finance, Health Care and IT stocks.

The Nifty too eased 29 points at 17,310.15.

The Sensex registered the days high and low at 58,147.04 and 57,910.46 points respectively.

The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,331.35 and 17,268.20 points respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up 0.29 per cent and Small Cap by 0.33 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 14 advanced while 16 declined.

The losers were Tata Steel by 1.15 per cent to Rs 107, HDFC by 0.89 per cent to Rs 2360.80, ICICI Bank by 0.88 per cent to Rs 816.05, L& T by 0.83 per cent to Rs 1799.10 and Tech Mahindra by 0.63 per cent to Rs 1043.

The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 1.92 per cent to Rs 1060.80, Asian Paints by 1.63 per cent to Rs 3378.05 and ITC by 1.41 per cent to Rs 311.90.
