Indian Market: Sensex crashes 930 points

Registering an all-time high in the opening session on Wednesday, it was tanked 930.88 pts to close at 70,506.31 as heavy selling was seen across the board despite the positive global market.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 302.95 pts at 21,150.15.

The NSE posted days high and low at 21,593.00 and 21,087.35 pts respectively.

The Sensex opened on an all time high at 71,647.66 pts, During the day it was reached 71,913.07, up 476 pts, days high Later, it was dropped 1135 pts, days low, before closing at 70,506.31, tumbling down 930.88 pts from its previous close.

The stocks include, Utilities, Power, Telecommunication services dragged the market.

The stocks like Utilities slid by 4.65 pc followed by Power by 4.33 pc, Telecommunication Services by 4.36 pc.

The Mid Cap fell by 3.12 pc and Small Cap rose by 3.42 pc.

All 30 scrips were declined.

The losers were HCL Technology by 3.44 pc to Rs 1437, SBI by 3.26 pc to Rs 634.20, Tech Mahindra by 3.16 pc to Rs 1241, Tata Motors by 3.13 pc to Rs 706.40 and Powergrid by 2.91 pc to Rs 227.10.
