Indian Market: Sensex advanced 393.69 pts

The BSE Sensex on Wednesday gained further by 393.69 pts to close at 66,473.05 on the strength of Telecommunications, FMCG and Auto stocks amid strong global cues.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 121.50 pts at 19,811.35.

The Sensex opened higher at 66,376.42, up 297 pts. It was spurted nearly 513 pts at 66,592.16,

days high before closing at 66,473.05, surging 393.69 pts from its previous close.

In stocks, Telecommunications was up by 1.36 pc followed by Commodities by 1.05 pc, Auto by

0.98 pc and FMCG by 0.85 pc.

In scrips, Wipro was up by 3.29 pc to be 421, Ultracemco by 2.09 pc to Rs 8326.55, Reliance Industries by 1.58 pc to Rs 2345, Hind Unilever by 1.57 pc to Rs 2555.95 and Nestle India Ltd by 1.15 pc to Rs 23,215.

The losers were HCL Technologies by 1.24 pc to Rs 1245.75, SBI by 0.56 pc to Rs 583.30, TCS

by 0.52 pc to Rs 3610.20 and Tata Steel by 0.24 pc to Rs 124.95.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.55 pc and Small Cap by 0.77 pc.

In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declined.
