Kolkata/IBNS: The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has organised its 94th Annual session to discuss current trends, which can help strengthen global ties.

The session witnesses valuable insights from Indian actor Boman Irani, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State, Ministry of External Affairs and Education, Government of India, General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd.), Minister of State, Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, Government of India, H.E. Mr. Aung Naing Oo, Minister of Commerce, Government of Myanmar.

Speaking on the Strengthening Global Linkages, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State, Ministry of External Affairs and Education, Government of India, said, "Evolving economic trends is what I visualise we should work on by involving different corporates and investors, as we should not depend on what we are comfortable with and understand consumer wants.

"We need to look for a proposed review of CECA with Singapore and connect with people all around the globe. We are also exploring and building connectivity going beyond physical connect, where international air connection remains one of the prime focuses."

"Our Prime Minister Shri.Narendra Modi announced a transformational vision like Atmanirbhar Bharat and building opportunities for start-ups and the export industry," he added.

Iterating on India-Myanmar Trade Relations, H.E. Aung Naing Oo, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce, Government of Myanmar, said, "India has been changing since 2014. Our country is getting digitized now.

"We can now see mobile phones in every village we visit, they have good connectivity. Today, wherever we go and show our passport, we are respected. Reforms are happening but how you perceive it is on you. India is witnessing massive change, banking on understanding data related to consumer wants."
