Hero MotoCorp collaborates with BPCL to set up two-wheeler charging ecosystem

| @indiablooms | Feb 23, 2022, at 05:53 am

Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday has said that it is partnering with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to set up charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in various places in India.

Hero MotoCorp has been prepping up for launching its electric two-wheelers and the company is working towards building an EV charging ecosystem.

In September 2021, BPCL announced it would convert 7,000 of its conventional petrol pumps into energy stations.

The state-run oil and gas corporation said it will offer a wide range of fuel solutions including petrol, diesel for conventional vehicles and electricity for electric vehicles.

Hero MotoCorp and BPCL have said that they will first set up EV charging infrastructure at the existing nationwide energy station network.

They might expand their collaboration to create more synergies to establish an improved EV ecosystem.
