Fuel rates cross Rs 72 mark

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) Fuel prices across major cities crossed Rs 72 mark on Monday with no relief to consumers.

Petrol in the National Capital costs Rs 72.17, while diesel price rose to Rs 67.54 per litre.

In Mumbai, petrol is retailing at Rs 77. 80, while diesel was Rs 70. 76 per litre, according to IOC's website.

In Chennai, petrol and deisel costs Rs 74. 95 and Rs 71. 38 per litre respectivel. Similarly, in Kolkata, petrol is at Rs 74.26 and diesel retailing at Rs 69. 33 a litre.

In Gurugram, petrol costs Rs 72.34 a litre and diesel price hiked to Rs 66.70.

Petrol in Noida is being sold at Rs 71.70 while diesel price raised to Rs 66. 49 per litre.
