Fuel prices increase again
Mumbai: Petrol and diesel prices were increased once again on Monday.
According to the price notification of Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi now costs Rs 99.41 per litre as against Rs 99.11 per litre previously while diesel at Rs 90.77 per litre as against Rs 90.42 per litre.
In Delhi, petrol price has been increased by 30 paise while diesel by 35 paise. In Kolkata, petrol costs Rs 108.85 per litre ((increased by 32 paise) while diesel is at Rs 93.92 (increased by 35 paise).
In Mumbai, a litre of petrol is available at Rs 114.19 while diesel is at Rs 98.50 per litre (increased by 31 paise and 37 paise respectively).
In Chennai, petrol costs Rs 105.18 per litre while diesel is at Rs 95.33 per litre (increased by 32 paise and 35 paise respectively).
This is the sixth hike in the past seven days.
The oil companies have been increasing the petrol and diesel prices since March 22 (except on March 24).
The fuel prices were on freeze since November 4, 2021, but the record 137 days hiatus ended on March 22 with 80 paise per litre increase in rates of petrol and diesel.
