CDSL introduces multi-lingual initiatives for ease of doing business for investors

Mumbai: Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL), Asia's first listed depository, has launched two unique multi-lingual initiatives for ease of doing business for investors.

These initiatives were launched by SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch at the silver jubilee function held on January 17.

The 'Apka CAS – Apki Zubaani' initiative is an update in investor CAS, enabling investors to receive their statements in their preferred language amongst 23 diverse Indian languages. This initiative is a testament to easier accessibility, offering investors a consolidated view of their securities held in demat account in a language of their choice, a [ress release said.

Introducing 'CDSL Buddy Sahayta 24*7,' a multi-lingual chatbot on the CDSL website designed to break communication barriers. This unique tool aims to simplify investors' paths to self-sufficiency by providing round-the-clock assistance in four languages. The chatbot becomes a constant companion, aiding investors in navigating the complexities of securities markets.

CDSL’s on-going efforts to deepen the market awareness in the areas of cybersecurity and financial literacy were also showcased with –

Release of 'Reimagine Digital Trust in Capital Markets' Thought Leadership Report: In collaboration with KPMG, CDSL presents a comprehensive report derived from insights at the recent Cyber Security Symposium. The report signifies a significant step in comprehending digital trust, global financial interconnectedness, and resilience against emerging cyber threats.

Completion of 'Neev' - A Pan-India Financial Literacy Campaign: As part of its 25th-anniversary celebrations, CDSL successfully concluded the 'Neev' campaign, reaching 25 cities. This initiative, spanning diverse communities, including armed forces and rural areas, reflects a commitment to spreading financial literacy across the nation.

Speaking on the silver jubilee event, Nehal Vora, MD & CEO said, “As we celebrate 25 years of our incredible journey, it is our distinct honour to witness the SEBI Chairperson launch CDSL’s pivotal initiatives.
