Air India sale now touches final lap, financial bids received: DIPAM
New Delhi/UNI: The government on Wednesday said that financial bids for Air India disinvestment has been received and the process to sell the airline to a private player is now in the final lap.
"Financial bids for Air India disinvestment received by Transaction Adviser. Process now moves to concluding stage," Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey tweeted.
Tata group is understood to have placed their bids to acquire the struggling flag carrier.
DIPAM has not disclosed the names of the prospective buyers placing their financial bids.
